Lucy's Dress

This is my first attempt at adapting a knit fabric and creating a dress from a t-shirt. This shirt was pretty slim and the bodice was short for Lucy so she hasn't worn it much. I thought the details on the sleeves were super cute so I wanted to try to save it and tweak it. I've seen lots of examples of how to do this and they seemed so easy. But I need a few more skills. I have a new serger which should help me do this better but its a good first try.

Lucy picked out the fabric from my shelf of found fabrics. It really is a cute gingham although it looks a bit little house on the prairie. That's ok. She loves it.
