We have had a stomach virus sweep through our house this week. Today is the first day since Sunday where Lucy seems to have normal energy. But despite the vomitting, diarrhea and exhaustion, we're making things happen. The virus had a fabulous side effect in that it made everyone sleep, A LOT! This never happens at our house. So the week went smoother than we expected upon the beginning.
A rare sighting of Lucy asleep during daylight hours!! She was so camouflaged that Edie couldn't find her. Therefore, she walked around the house shouting, "Lucy, are you?! Yes, and promptly woke her up.
The squirt gun was a gift from Grammy at her last visit. Edie LOVES these things. When I gave it to her for the first time I told her to squirt the chalkboard. She walked outside and began squirting her Daddy and laughing. She thought it was hysterical! This day she was squirting the plants on her walk before passing out.
We are preparing for a garage sale and have begun sorting through all the baby clothes. I'm having some heart tugs but as soon as I think about the last pregnancy and the first 18 months with a new baby those tugs quickly go away.
Rodney is building the railing to finish the deck project Papa started last summer. It looks so great! As soon as we find extra space, we make it work hard. It is drizzling outside right now but it feels so good to be able to be outside still. And since the sun came out this week, we actually feel like it might become spring someday. So we broke out the sun hats. Edie has a very clear idea of how it should be worn.
Protecting her ears from the saw sounds. "Loud noise Daddy"
I wish I could put smells on here. There is nothing like a waft of Lilac at your front door. Lucy even has some in a jar in her bunk bed. Happy Spring.
