How to make a kite - by Lucy

First you have to get some string.

Put the string through the hole. (This is after you have cut your kite from paper and made a hole with a hole punch)

You criss cross your string.
Put one string through the hole and pull the ends. You do this two times.

Cut the end of one string.
And here is your kite!!!

In the past two months Lucy has learned to zip, button and today tie a knot!! All on her own desire and focus. I love when this happens. She has made a zillion kites over the past week where I have had to tie many knots. I am learning that she is an observer. She wants to see something done a lot so she can learn how to do it herself. Since her Daddy needs to take things a part and have his own hands on it first, she is clearly following her mama's learning style. By the looks of how Edie is moving through the world so far, I think she follows her Daddy's learning style.

Lucy also wrote her name today better than I've seen ever.

We're so proud!!!
