These are so out of order but I only have a few minutes so here it goes. I was sick...we were all sick and yet, for some reason, I do not have a kid who will collapse in bed or on the couch to watch tv...SO...we tried the time tested, only for those desperate moments, painting in the tub. HOWEVER...I have now learned:
1. This only works for young children who aren't good at getting out of the tub.
2. Only liquid tempra paint comes off easily. Watercolor paint STAINS tubs, toilets and towels.
3. Yes, she wiped the paint brush on her butt to clean it off. I should not be surprised by this.
I had to spend a good 20 minutes scrubbing with baking soda the next day to clean the entire bathroom. Can you see the handprints on either side of the toilet seat where she had to stop and pee?

We snagged a $20 table from
Second Use and the girls were helping Daddy disassemble it for painting. This is our new dining room table. We are in a constant trial and error process to find the right size and shape for our tiny room.

It looks like this is no big deal but Edie is still pretty wobbly so Daddy had to do a lot of adjustments while he was drilling so she could stay standing.

Lucy has been obsessed with watercolors!! We have a stack of paintings that we need to hang in her room. And each painting is very thought out.

Edie helping with the dishes. I have to be careful to get the dirty ones in really fast before she discovers the door is open.

Lucy has turned some developmental corner. She made this chart all by herself and then told us that it was her dresser and showed us which drawer was each family member's. Pretty cool. This is a huge step over squiggles.

Enjoying a meal. "Up High"

Sleeping Together.

I love the bathroom mural! whoo hoo... you go Lucy! :-) Too bad it wasn't as fun for mommy to clean up.
Great pics, Gretch. The girls are growing up so fast!
