1 hour and 45 minutes in the stroller. Yep...Edie decided the conditions today were perfect. What were the circumstances, you ask? 50 degrees, rain, lots of rain and she was bundled up in two layers of fleece with the rain cover on. Add a cute little frog toy that has a binky attached to the end and voila! SLEEP. What was I doing in this rain? Walking and walking. It wasn't too bad to begin with as I had my rain gear on. I mean, its not like the rain at this time of the year is a surprise. Besides, the clouds roll in and sit around until April. They just turn various shades of grey to let you know what type of showers you are going to get. Today it was a mix of light showers, misty breaks and full on wind blowing downpour. And I kept walking. I finally had to stop as the water was running down my face into my eyes and I couldn't see through my glasses.
I know I sound a bit crazy but one gets this way when there is a magical nap happening. I have driven around our neighborhood for and hour before. I have sat in the home depot parking lot for a nap. There is a point when I'll do just about anything.
Lucy and a friend had a play date this morning and Rodney took them to a concert. It's one of our new favorites. They are called, Recess Monkey. Seriously...check them out. I have video footage to share as the girls had a fantastic time. I'll try to get that up soon.
But for now...thanks for the positive thoughts. They worked!!!

I know I've said this before, but "this too shall pass." I think I've totally run out of suggestions. And I know it doesn't help to have gloomy weather. Wish we were still there to help.
Hugs, Mom
