End of Summer Pictures

This is no exaggeration. For the first time EVER, both children are in bed, in the same room before 10pm. It's 8:45 and Rodney and I are shocked with this freedom. We are usually either holding Edie so she will stay asleep or arguing with Lucy to keep her in bed. We are smart enough to realize that this may not happen again for a while but we are going to enjoy it while it lasts.

SO...here are some much awaited pics.

Snuggles with Grandma and Papa.

Family photo

This was what Edie looked like the first day of her allergic reaction. Those welts got worse and covered her whole body for the next 4 days.
Lucy and I stenciling her new curtains for under her loft bed.
Face painting at the street fair.
Rock climbing with Daddy at Camp Long.
Nap time reading. That book is written in Spanish. It is one of Lucy's favorites even though none of us can read the words.

Getting ready for a walk. With almost 20lbs. on my front and a backpack that probably weighs another 10lbs., I'm definitely getting in shape for some hiking this fall. I'm finally feeling strong again!! We are often out for a couple hours each morning so Lucy can get her exercise too. So...add a few squats to help Lucy with shoes or her scooter gear and lifting all 40lbs of Lucy on to the swings and my body is getting a serious workout. Who needs a YMCA membership?

Edie is just beginning to sit up and you will notice her limits at the end of the video.

Hey Gretch,
Thanks for the pics! I especially like the one of Lucy and Edie reading together - what a cute pair of sisters :-)
Does this mean everyone is finally well?
