We were blessed this past week with a visit from my sister Steph and niece Erin. They came just in time to energize and take care of us. I barely carried a thing, including Edie, took naps whenever I needed them, had a couple hours completely to myself and now have a freezer stocked with dinners. Actually, our neighbor has some of the meals because our freezer wasn't big enough for all of them.
We managed to do some fun things too like a super low tide walk at the beach where we discovered a huge purple sea star, lots of anemones, crabs and a variety of other creatures we didn't recognize. Lucy was funny. As our friends were scrambling around saying, "look what I found!" and showing us another living thing, Lucy was focused on the various seaweed. It took a lot to convince her to even look at anything. She just enjoyed stepping in the puddles and dragging the long slippery seaweed around.
Grandma and Grandpa also arrived in town as they are work camping at a state park nearby called Dash Point State Park. While Steph left on Saturday, Erin has decided to stay with us for a few weeks and we are super excited. She is a HUGE help and Lucy thinks she is her own personal buddy. I'm going to toss out a few pictures so you can catch a glimpse of the happenings but I'm headed to bed so I won't get a chance to put a caption to each yet. Hopefully soon.
