toddler flexibility

When we try to get balls out from under the furniture, we get on our hands and knees, drop our chests and heads to the floor and keep our bums in the air, right? This position is vital so that we may limit the extent to which our joints are bending. OR, we just lay flat on the floor so nothing is bent.

Well, not a toddler. She was sitting next to the chair and her ball rolled under it. She just bent forward and folded completely in half with her head on the floor to look. I don't know if she could see anything because her foot was in front of her face. GEEZ!!! I don't know if I could get in that pose if yoga was the only thing I did all day.

You know, it wasn't that long ago that we performed all kinds of contortions in the living room at Mom and Dad's. Then again, maybe that was quite a few years ago... oh, to be young and flexible again!
