This is the Baby Einstein Musical Motion thingy. It is a jumper, exersaucer and activity box in one. She is thrilled to be able to be upright as she doesn't quite have the torso strength to sit by herslef yet. She can turn 360 degrees, bounce and play with the toys in this thing. However, one thing I forgot about was the change in diapers once babies are sitting or, in this case, almost hanging. Things get squished around and the diapers that up until this point could hold almost anything are not being put to the real test.
During our most recent trip to the book store, Lucy practiced one of her new skills. Squealing. It's pretty funny! She can last for a good 30 minutes just testing the pitch and volume of her sounds. Sometimes she tosses in some deep growls that are fabulous as well.
This is a picture of Lucy in our favorite carrier at the book store.
She has also discovered how to roll from her back to her tummy, although she sometimes looks surprised when she gets there. She can hang out on her tummy for a few minutes but then suddenly gets VERY irritated when she is ready to be done. She hasn't figured out how to roll back. While this was funny at first, it's now quite annoying. I leave the room for a second and she's rolled onto her tummy and yelling. She also finds herself there while sleeping and is definitely frustrated because she isn't ready to sleep on her tummy.
One of the cutest things that she's doing now is pulling on her toes at the changing table. So much discovery is pretty amazing. If only we were well rested enough to enjoy it all. Hee hee.
