New skills

Lucy has learned to roll over and is gaining strength with her "tummy time". We practiced rolling over one day while I held her hips up. Within a couple days, it just clicked. Now she is rolling to her side regularly. It conveniently enables her to get her hands to her mouth more easily!

Our daily outings are changing a bit since the weather is wetter. We still brave the rain most every day as we both need the fresh air. Plus our mommy/baby walking buddies are committed to the exercise! However, there are times when we need to be somewhere other than our tiny home so we've been going to story times at various libraries. Sometimes the story time is meant for Toddlers but that's ok. Lucy enjoys watching the older kids. I confessed to a few mothers that I was using their children as entertainment. I can only do so much on my own. Yesterday at story time, they had a HUGE bubble making machine. Lucy was thrilled!! Of course, the toddlers running around giggling sure helped!

We'll keep you posted on our adventures! We're going to try to make it to a story time on an old Tug Boat tomorrow! Ok, I have to say that all of these outings definitely work for me too! But hey, don't they say..."Everyone's happier when Mommy's happy."

oh, I forgot to mention...Lucy's hair is falling out. They say this is common at the time when new hair is growing in. She has had a lot of curls on the top of her head since birth. The last bath I gave her showed that the hair growing in on her sides is starting to curl as well. We'll see what the new stuff looks like. We brush it after every bath. Partly because poor Daddy is worried that she is going to be "stuck" with his crazy, kinky, curly hair. We'll see.
